I really liked this card by xiunyuki in the Splitcoaststampers Gallery and decided to CASE it as a Father's Day card for my dad. I changed up the colors to suit my dad and substituted a birdcage set by Basic Grey.
The sentiment is from a retired hostess set, So Many Sayings, that was cut up into pieces to make it more versatile. The forked tail of the sentiment was made with the square punch, because I'm hopeless at doing it with scissors!
Did you notice the new Bermuda Bay cardstock? IRL, it has more green in it but I couldn't get Photoshop Elements to get it right without the other colors being skewed. I embossed it with the birds and vines embossing folder by Cuttlebug which was perfect for this card! Even the bird was just the right shape.
Thanks for visiting!
