I rarely have a card turn out just the way I envisioned it, but this card just about did!
The snowflake was cut out with my Slice machine. It's actually a negative space in the card front which is backed with a white piece of cardstock. I made a template first on an extra piece of cardstock so I could perfectly position the machine on the card. (I saw a tutorial once on how to do it and if I ever find it again I'll link it here! Sorry about that.)
I filled in the snowflake space with glue and then covered it with a thick layer of Diamond Dust (which are shards of glass glitter.) I thought by using a negative space instead of a snowflake diecut, it would give it a different look.
The only thing I would do different is to emboss the flourishes and sentiment with white embossing powder so they stand out more. Or maybe my white inkpad just needs reinking!
That's all for today! I need to get going so I can open some birthday presents. ;)
Thanks for visiting!
