This card was made for Crafty Secret's World Card Making Day challenge on Splitcoaststampers a couple of weeks ago.  Unfortunately, I missed the deadline, but at least I have a cute card to show for my efforts.  The adorable image is from a Crafty Secrets Journal Notes pad, but I don't know which one.

Aren't these honey bunnies the sweetest?  I made this card for a card challenge by Vicki Chrisman at This Art That Makes Me Happy.  She chose 20 participants from her blog comments on this post, and sent us all one of three kits, containing Crafty Secrets images, paper, and miscellaneous trimmings.  I was lucky to get my comment in time to play!

From the Studio

Every once in a while, I end making a card with no stamping!  I started with the intention of using up my scraps and not being stingy with embellishments.  The clip art is something I cut out of Somerset Studio years ago and the designer paper is Basic Grey's Blush.  I used my new Janome Sew Mini sewing machine for the first time and love how it sews.  The thing runs like a tank and for some reason feels sturdier than my (much more expensive) Brother.  Sew far (ahaha!) it hasn't clogged up underneath, which was a problem with my Brother.

Sketch challenge entry

I'm deviating from the norm today by sharing a card that has no stamping on it!  I have a bunch of collage stuff and vintage images I've been hoarding and I figure it's about time I use it.  I used a sketch by Beate, who wants us to make a card using the sketch, link it to her blog in her comment section, and she will randomly draw a name from all the entrants for some "Fresh and Fun Freebies"!

The main image is from Collage Clips produced by Somerset Studio.  It was a tear-out page from one of the magazines.

The base is 5x5 inch Blush Blossom, then layered with papers by Basic Grey's Blush 6x6 pad.

I faux-stitched the edges of the layers with my Mat Pack from Stampin' UP, my paper piercer, and my white Signo gel pen, also from Stampin' UP.

The brown ribbon is some I won from Beate while the lace is from Joanns.  I used scalloped Fiskars scissors to make the white border.

Last, but not least are the Prima daisies and the yellow brads from Making Memories.  There's also a stick pin from MM stuck into the lace knot.
